Kazakhstan harvests 19.8 million tonnes of grain from 79% of sown area - MinistryKazakhstan has harvested 19.8 million tonnes of grain so far this season, the country's Ministry of Agriculture reported Thursday.The harvest comes from 12.7 million hectares, or 79% of the total area sown with grain crops.In addition to grain, farmers have gathered 1.3 million tonnes of oilseeds, 2.4 million tonnes of potatoes, and 3.2 million tonnes of vegetables. The total sown area for the 2025 harvest is 23.6 million hectares, with 16 million hectares dedicated to grain and leguminous crops.In 2024, the country's total grain harvest amounted to 26.5 million tonnes.
