The Ministry of Construction has urged faster public investment disbursement and completion of social housing projects to help Việt Nam meet its 2025 GDP growth target of 8.5 per cent and build momentum for stronger growth ahead. By September 2025, the country had completed 455km of expressways, expanding the total to 2,476km, while launching nine new transport projects and completing six others, including major expressway and bridge connections.The ministry has disbursed VNĐ38.4 trillion out of VNĐ87.2 trillion in allocated public investment (44 per cent) and pledged to intensify on-site inspections and resolve obstacles to achieve full disbursement by year-end.On housing, 692 social housing projects are underway nationwide, aiming to supply 633,559 units, with 165 completed and 147 under construction. Progress remains below target, prompting the ministry to dispatch 30 inspection teams and coordinate with the State Bank of Vietnam to expand concessional loan access for social housing, worker housing and old apartment redevelopment projects.
