Food Contract Corporation announces prices for 2025 harvest grainThe Food Contract Corporation (FCC) has announced prices for the new harvest grain that are above market values, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reported."This trend has been observed over the past four years, where the national grain market operator sets a fair grain price for subsequent repurchase from farmers under the forward financing program," the statement said.According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the price per tonne of the 2025 harvest grain, including VAT, will be as follows:Grade 3 wheat (gluten 27%+) – 115,000 tenge;Grade 3 wheat (gluten 25-27%, falling number from 250) – 96,000 tenge;Grade 3 wheat (gluten 25-27%, falling number from 200) – 94,000 tenge;Grade 3 wheat (gluten 23-24%, falling number from 230) – 92,000 tenge;Grade 3 wheat (gluten 23-24%, falling number from 160) – 90,000 tenge;Grade 4 wheat (gluten 20-22%, falling number from 200) – 82,000 tenge;Grade 4 wheat (gluten 18-19%, falling number from 80) – 80,000 tenge;Grade 5 wheat (gluten 18%) - 70 thousand tenge;Durum wheat (vitreousness 60, falling number from 200) – 90,000 tenge;Grade 2 barley – 75,000 tenge."The fair price for grain will allow farmers to cover costs, maintain production profitability, and strengthen the position of Kazakh grain in foreign markets," the ministry believes.The Ministry of Agriculture noted that in the new season, the traditional export markets will remain Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, China, Iran, and Tajikistan. Furthermore, shipments of grain to long-distance destinations will continue - to the countries of North Africa, the Persian Gulf, Southeast Asia, with transit through the ports of the Black and Baltic Seas."Price stability for grain will be ensured by the effect of transport subsidies, which have been extended until September 2026. This decision was made by the government, taking into account the positive effect of the support measures introduced in the last marketing season," the Ministry of Agriculture notes.The ministry assured that the program is one of the most in-demand support tools for agricultural producers, providing farmers with accessible funds and guaranteed sales of the harvest in the autumn period.The Food Contract Corporation is part of the structure of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan. The company was established in 1995 to maintain the state reserve stock of grain, stabilize the domestic grain market, and promote the export of Kazakh grain, including representing the republic's interests on export markets.
