Foreign direct investment influx to Kyrgyzstan tops $1 bln in 2024The influx of foreign direct investment to Kyrgyzstan's economy increased 22% in 2024 and has been growing this year as well, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev said during a conference call."According to the global investment report, the volume of foreign direct investment dropped by 11% worldwide. In these conditions, the inflow of foreign direct investment to Kyrgyzstan went up 22% and topped $1 billion," Kasymaliyev said.The Kyrgyz economy received $562.7 million in foreign direct investment in the first half of 2025, which is 21.7% more than in the same period last year, he said. Around 84% of all investment went to Bishkek (42.7%), Jalal-Abad (14.2%), the Talas region (14%), and the Chuy region (12.8%).Kasymaliyev also tasked the National Investment Agency with performing a detailed analysis and working out measures to distribute the foreign direct investment flow across the regions to ensure their equal economic development.
