SINGAPORE TRAVELLERS LEAD GLOBALLY IN BIOMETRIC TRAVEL ADOPTION
Travelers in Singapore are amongst the most open to biometric and AI-powered travel tools, with 79% willing to use biometric gateways at airport touchpoints, well above the global average of 69%, according to Amadeus. Beyond streamlining security, Singapore travellers see real-time updates and queue management as top benefits: 36% want biometrics to speed up queues, whilst 33% seek live traffic and arrival information. The firm noted the appetite for automation extends beyond the airport too. Around 62% said they would prefer to check in luggage from home rather than at a physical airport counter. The desire for a frictionless digital experience is also driving interest in all-in-one platforms. 32% of leisure travellers, and 34% of business travellers, said they would prefer a single app combining flights, hotels, and ground transport. https://sbr.com.sg/hotels-tourism/news/singapore-travellers-lead-globally-in-biometric-travel-adoption (ICE SINGAPORE)
