As global online trade accelerates, cross-border e-commerce has been identified as a strategic pillar to help Vietnamese goods strengthen their presence internationally. Under the National E-commerce Development Master Plan (2026–2030), the Ministry of Industry and Trade aims to build a sustainable digital export ecosystem by improving regulations, enhancing business capacity, linking with global platforms, and collaborating with Vietnamese trade offices abroad. Experts highlight Việt Nam’s logistics advantages, young digital-savvy workforce, and fast digital transformation as key assets. Businesses are encouraged to adopt direct-to-consumer models, ensure traceable and high-quality products, and build distinct brands.
