Currently, Ukrainian customs laws are 80% aligned with EU standards, the Ministry of Finance announced after the ninth meeting of the Subcommittee on Customs Cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. During the meeting, the parties reviewed the progress on previous agreements and discussed Ukraine’s efforts to meet its customs obligations under the EU Association Agreement. They focused on implementing the National Revenue Strategy until 2030, with an emphasis on digitalizing customs processes and anti-corruption efforts. Ukraine shared its plans for deeper alignment with European customs standards, including the expansion of digital services and collaborative risk analysis solutions. It is also noted that Ukraine has already met 91% of its customs commitments under the agreement and is making steady progress toward full technological compatibility with European customs systems.
