EUROPEAN FIRMS SHOW RENEWED OPTIMISM IN VIỆT NAM
The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) released its Q3 2025 Business Confidence Index (BCI), which climbed to 66.5 — its highest level in three years and above pre-tariff levels — reflecting strong resilience and adaptability amid global trade headwinds and new US tariffs. The survey, conducted by Decision Lab, highlights European investors’ optimism, driven by reforms in visa and work permit policies, green investment momentum, and digitalised administration. Despite trade disruptions, only 3% of firms plan to relocate from Vietnam, reaffirming the country’s stability as a production hub. While 31% of respondents reported negative impacts from global trade shifts, optimism remains high, with 80% confident about their five-year prospects and 76% recommending Vietnam as an investment destination. The recent FTSE Russell upgrade of Vietnam’s stock market and robust GDP growth further strengthen investor confidence, confirming Vietnam’s growing appeal as a reliable, reform-driven economy in Asia.
