CAO ĐÀI SECT CELEBRATES 100TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY

The Cao Đài sect celebrated its 100th founding anniversary in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday, marking a century of growth and contributions to Vietnam’s social and spiritual life. Nguyễn Hữu Nhơn, head of the Management Board of the Nam Thành oratory — the recognised birthplace of Cao Đài — highlighted the religion’s adherence to national laws and its role in preserving Vietnamese cultural traditions. Over the decades, Cao Đài followers have promoted unity, patriotism, and community development, aligning their religious practices with the nation’s progress. The Nam Thành oratory’s Management Board has encouraged followers to participate in social and charitable activities, including free medical check-ups for the elderly and disabled, donations of essential goods to the poor, and scholarships for disadvantaged students. The centennial celebration underscored the sect’s enduring contributions to social harmony, moral values, and national solidarity in Vietnam. (ICE HO CHI MINH CITY)
