The Prime Minister has approved a new framework of 46 indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in Vietnam’s socio-economic development. The criteria are grouped into four categories, assessing factors such as human resources, investment, research outcomes, technology application, and overall socio-economic and environmental impacts. The Ministry of Science and Technology will coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, and provincial authorities to collect data and conduct annual evaluations, with results to be submitted to the Prime Minister. Reports from local and sectoral bodies must be sent to the ministry by April 15 each year.
