THE Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) on Tuesday said it was open to hosting more aviation-related businesses and aerotropolis parks, following the holding of the Philippine Aviation Summit on Oct. 9 at Marriott Manila in Pasay. An aerotropolis is a metropolitan area whose infrastructure, land use, and economy are centered on a major airport. Such ecozones “are designed to link industries with airports, integrate aviation into the broader industrial landscape, and ensure that the Philippines remains competitive in the next era of industrialization,“ PEZA Ecozone Development Manager Ludwig Daza said. In the high-value aerospace and aviation sector which requires precision, reliability, and exceptional global standards, PEZA is nurturing a growing ecosystem of locators that are quietly powering a value chain in the Philippines, Daza pointed out.
