THE MINISTRY OF ECONOMY FORECASTS UKRAINE’S GDP WILL GROW BY 3-4% IN SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER, WITH INCREASED GROWTH PROJECTED BY THE END OF THE YEAR.

During the government’s question hour, Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev said that Ukraine’s GDP growth for September-October is expected to be 3-4%. He estimated that Ukraine’s GDP in August 2025 was about 5.3% higher than in the same month last year. The main drivers of growth were construction, manufacturing, and agriculture.According to the ministry’s forecast, growth will continue into the second half of the year. Sobolev stated that the country’s economic development will be supported by the implementation of international investment agreements. Specifically, around $200M planned for various projects in Ukraine will help sustain further GDP growth. Additionally, the Ministry of Economy predicts Ukraine’s GDP will increase by 2.5% in 2026.However, the World Bank has lowered its forecast from 5.2% to 2%, while the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) maintained its 2026 forecast at 5%, assuming Russia’s war against Ukraine ends.https://ubn.news/the-ministry-of-economy-forecasts-ukraines-gdp-will-grow-by-3-4-in-september-october-with-increased-growth-projected-by-the-end-of-the-year/ (ICE KIEV)
