At the International Indonesia Sustainability Forum (IISF) 2025, private-sector operators officially launched the Indonesia Association of Private-Sector Public EV Charging Owners (ASPELUSI) to support the country’s electric vehicle (EV) industry. The declaration was witnessed by key figures from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), including Anindya Bakrie and Shinta Kamdani. ASPELUSI, chaired by Anthony Utomo of Utomo Chargeplus, aims to unify private EV charging stakeholders and align their efforts with Indonesia’s Net Zero Emission target by 2060. The association will formalize its role by registering as an Extraordinary Member under Kadin, ensuring legal legitimacy and integration into the national business ecosystem. ASPELUSI has received strong backing from both government and business leaders, who view its formation as a strategic move to accelerate industrial downstreaming and clean energy transition. Minister Rosan Perkasa Roeslani emphasized IISF’s role in showcasing Indonesia’s leadership in green initiatives, while Shinta Kamdani highlighted ASPELUSI’s potential to foster green and blue investments. The association plans to engage in technical and policy discussions with key ministries and PLN to address challenges in EV charging infrastructure, including business models, tariffs, and incentives—marking a significant step toward collaborative, sustainable development.Source: https://indonesiabusinesspost.com/5463/business-and-investment/private-ev-charging-operators-set-up-association-to-support-indonesia-s-ev-ecosystem (ICE GIACARTA)
