Business of Design Week to showcase Italy’s creative legacy in HK The Hong Kong Design Center’s annual flagship event, Business of Design Week (BODW) 2025, will take place from December 1 to 6. This year, BODW has entered a year-long partnership with Italy under the theme “Curiosity Ignites Design Innovation”. The event will examine how curiosity has fueled Italy’s creativity and innovation across various disciplines, while underscoring Hong Kong’s position as a bridge connecting Eastern and Western cultures. At the heart of the program is the BODW 2025 Summit, scheduled for December 3 to 5 at the Wan Chai Exhibition Centre. It will gather more than 50 creative leaders and business decision-makers from Italy, the UK, the US, the Czech Republic, Japan, mainland China, Hong Kong, and other parts of the world. Carmelo Ficarra, Consul General of Italy in Hong Kong and Macau, expressed Italy’s deep honor in returning for the third time as BODW’s year-long Partner Country. He noted that the event represents a significant milestone in the collaboration between Italy and Hong Kong’s creative industries. “Through BODW 2025, we look forward to sharing Italy’s globally cherished design philosophy and artisanal heritage, while jointly exploring how ‘Curiosity’ can ignite creative sparks,” he said. Meanwhile, ArtNext Fair, a leading Hong Kong platform for emerging artists, has launched its 10th-anniversary edition.
