The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Representative in Jordan, Nabil Assaf, stated that the organization’s programs in the Kingdom are financed through a combination of multi-partner funds and voluntary contributions. He highlighted FAO’s extensive network of partnerships with donor agencies, development banks, and private sector entities. In a special interview with Al Mamlaka TV marking World Food Day, Assaf revealed that FAO’s project portfolio implemented in Jordan over the past five years (2020–2025) totals nearly $40 million, with more than 70% dedicated to enhancing food security and supporting livelihoods impacted by crises and climate challenges.
