Iran invests 1 bln tenge in leather plant in western KazakhstanIranian investors, through the company Persist Kazakh K&K, have invested 1 billion tenge in the POSH Runo leather enterprise in the West Kazakhstan region, which processes livestock hides and manufactures footwear, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reports."In April 2025, the process of restoring the enterprise was initiated with the participation of Iranian investors through the company Persist Kazakh K&K,. The volume of attracted investments amounted to 1 billion tenge," the message from the Ministry of Agriculture, published on Monday, states.The ministry noted that POSH Runo LLP has resumed operations after a three-year hiatus.From June to September, the plant repaired production lines, trained personnel, and modernized the logistics system.In October 2025, the enterprise began processing cattle and small ruminant hides, producing high-grade WET Blue and crust leather, and manufacturing men's luxury and semi-luxury footwear. The plant's designed capacity is up to 182,000 cattle hides and 624,000 small ruminant hides per year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.The enterprise is equipped with modern equipment from leading European manufacturers, including Olcina Group, Cartigliano, Invoxvic, Dueffe/Ficcini, and others.
