KAZAKHSTAN-GRAIN-EXPORTS

Kazakhstan grain exports up 14% for new harvestKazakhstan has exported 1.6 million tonnes of grain from its new harvest since the start of the season, a 14% increase compared to the same period last year, the Ministry of Agriculture reported. The rise was driven primarily by increased shipments to Central Asia and the Caucasus. Exports to Uzbekistan grew by 41% to 801,000 tonnes, while shipments to Tajikistan rose 3.8% to 245,000 tonnes, and to Kyrgyzstan by 160% to 45,000 tonnes. Shipments to Azerbaijan surged 240% to 38,000 tonnes, while exports to Afghanistan increased 28.6% to 72,000 tonnes. Exports to Turkmenistan grew 66.7%, reaching 5,000 tonnes. The ministry stated that the export growth reflects strong demand for Kazakh grain and demonstrates the resilience of its supply logistics to neighboring countries. The 2025 harvest in Kazakhstan is nearly complete, with 26.3 million tonnes of grain threshed to date, surpassing both industry and government forecasts and approaching last year's total of 26.5 million tonnes.
