Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair to showcase global flavors and Chinese spirits The 17th Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair will take place from November 6 to 8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai, drawing over 620 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, including a notable increase in Chinese baijiu brands. The event will introduce the “World of Spirits” zone showcasing spirits from 13 countries, such as Chinese baijiu, whisky, and brandy, with six of China’s top 10 baijiu brands—Kweichow Moutai, Jiangsu Yanghe, Wuliangye, Luzhou Laojiao, Jiannanchun, and Langjiu—on display. Twenty spirit-focused activities, including the 2025 China Baijiu Culture International Promotion Asia Forum co-hosted by the China Alcoholic Drinks Association, will highlight the growing diversity of the spirits market. Hong Kong Trade Development Council Deputy Executive Director Jenny Koo Jing-man announced that 60 buyer delegations from 25 countries are expected, aiming to attract over 8,000 buyers. She noted that recent reductions in high-end spirits taxes have boosted the industry, fostering market growth. The fair will also feature a Friends of Wine Zone, showcasing complementary foods like ham and cheese. Highlights include Hong Kong actor Timmy Hung’s brand Hongjiaban Moutai, blending local action film culture with traditional craftsmanship; Austria’s rare Martin & Ann Arndorfer Anina Verde wine; Italy’s meticulously crafted Don Carlo; and Japan’s Hyakusyun Junmai Daiginjo sake, made with naturally farmed rice for an unfiltered, vibrant flavor.
