INDONESIA LAUNCHES IPFO TO ATTRACT GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENT
Indonesia has launched the Infrastructure Project Facilitation Office (IPFO) to boost infrastructure investment by streamlining partnerships between the government, private sector, and investors. Inaugurated by Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), the IPFO builds on momentum from the International Conference on Infrastructure and the Project Catalog 2025, which outlines 46 strategic projects across sectors like transportation, energy, and smart cities. The office aims to simplify procedures, prioritize projects, and monitor progress, aligning with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to enhance national development. With over US$643.8 billion needed for infrastructure between 2025–2029, and only 28% currently funded by the private sector, the IPFO seeks to close this gap by offering structured project listings, references, and risk mitigation support. Innovative funding models such as land value capture and asset recycling are also being adopted to ensure inclusive development. AHY emphasized that investors will benefit from transparency and support, positioning the IPFO as a key enabler for viable and impactful infrastructure ventures.Source: https://en.antaranews.com/news/387261/indonesia-launches-ipfo-to-attract-global-infrastructure-investment?utm_source=antaranews&utm_medium=mobile&utm_campaign=latest_category (ICE GIACARTA)
