IEU-CEPA CREATES JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDONESIAN PROFESSIONALS IN EU
The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) is encouraging Indonesian professionals to capitalize on job opportunities in the European Union (EU) following the substantial conclusion of the IEU-CEPA negotiations. Director General Djatmiko Bris Witjaksono affirmed confidence in Indonesia’s workforce quality. The EU faces labor shortages, especially in healthcare (lacking 1.2 million doctors/nurses in 2024), construction, and electrical engineering. Successful entry requires professionals to gain specific language skills and certifications. The agreement is also expected to boost demand for skilled labor supporting Indonesian exports like coffee, palm oil, and cocoa.Source: https://industri.kontan.co.id/news/tenaga-profesional-indonesia-didorong-masuki-pasar-kerja-uni-eropa (ICE GIACARTA)
