NINE NEW INDUSTRIAL PARKS UNDERSCORE INDONESIA’S INVESTMENT APPEAL

Over the past year, Indonesia has reinforced its role as a leading manufacturing investment hub in Asia through the development of nine new industrial parks. Concentrated in South Sulawesi, West Java, West Kalimantan, and Central Java, these parks have added 4,468 hectares of industrial land—an increase of 4.81%—attracting 132 new companies. This expansion has driven a 9.26% rise in total investment, reaching IDR 571.58 trillion (USD 36.9 billion), and created over 310,000 new jobs, marking a 15% annual growth. In parallel, the Ministry of Industry is enhancing international market access for Indonesian industrial products through strategic trade agreements. It has also launched the Labour-Intensive Industrial Credit Programme (KIPK), aimed at supporting SMEs in upgrading equipment and improving productivity, with loans ranging from IDR 500 million to 10 billion at a 5% interest rate over eight years. Additionally, the ministry has introduced a regulation on risk-based business operation standards to foster a more conducive and competitive investment environment.Source: https://en.vietnamplus.vn/nine-new-industrial-parks-underscore-indonesias-investment-appeal-post330967.vnp (ICE GIACARTA)
