Last year, Orlen capital group allocated over PLN1bn to infrastructure investments in Poland. It plans to allocate a similar budget for this purpose in 2025. The funds will enable, among other things, the implementation of projects in the following areas - drilling to increase the efficiency of extraction and the availability of raw materials, development of deposits, enabling their integration into the transmission system and expansion of Wierzchowiec underground gas storage facility, which will increase gas storage capacity and improve the flexibility of the gas system. In addition to gas projects, Orlen is continuously investing in fuel terminals. These projects are both replacement and development projects. Orlen considers the most important opportunities related to infrastructure development to include the possibility of improving national energy independence through the development of its own extraction capacities, diversification of supply sources and securing key infrastructure.
