Kazakhstan boosts vegetable oil exports to Central Asian statesKazakhstan has significantly strengthened its position as the leading exporter of vegetable oils and oilseed processing products to Central Asian countries, according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture.The ministry reported that in 2025, the share of Kazakh vegetable oil on the Uzbek market reached 65%, a substantial increase from 13% in 2017. Similarly, its share in Tajikistan's market grew to 74%, up from 15%.In the 2024/2025 marketing year (September 2024 to August 2025), the supply of vegetable oils and high-protein feeds from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan amounted to $349 million, an 82% increase compared to the previous year.To further develop exports, Kazakhstan's National Association of Oilseed Processors has signed a memorandum with the Uzbek company Fayz Oil Imports. The agreement stipulates that the Uzbek firm will purchase $60 million worth of fat-and-oil products from Kazakh processing plants over the next year.Kazakhstan currently supplies fat-and-oil products to more than 20 countries worldwide.
