INDONESIA’S NON-OIL EXPORTS SURGE 8.96 PERCENT IN FIRST HALF OF 2025

Indonesia’s non-oil and gas exports rose by 8.96% in the first half of 2025, reaching USD 128.39 billion, up from USD 117.83 billion during the same period in 2024. This growth was attributed to rising global demand and strategic initiatives such as Trade Expo Indonesia, which generated USD 22.8 billion in transactions. Kamrussamad, Chairman of Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPKA), emphasized the importance of downstream processing across various sectors, noting that Indonesia’s full-year non-oil and gas exports in 2024 totaled USD 248.83 billion. HIPKA is actively working with the Trade Ministry to boost exports from MSMEs and young entrepreneurs, aiming to expand Indonesia’s presence in international markets. Kamrussamad also called for broader downstream efforts beyond minerals and coal, highlighting opportunities in agriculture, food, handicrafts, and fashion. He expressed hopes for deeper collaboration with state-owned enterprises and other stakeholders to strengthen supply chains and facilitate joint financing.Source: https://rri.co.id/en/business/1921720/indonesia-s-non-oil-exports-surge-8-96-percent-in-first-half-of-2025 (ICE GIACARTA)
