INDONESIA AND BRAZIL AIM TO TRIPLE BILATERAL TRADE TO $18 BILLION IN A DECADE
The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) signed an MoU with APEX (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) to accelerate bilateral trade and investment, emphasizing sustainability and innovation. Kadin Chairman Anindya Bakrie stated the collaboration is crucial as Indonesia seeks alternative trade partners, particularly in the Global South following the BRICS meeting. Currently valued at $6 billion, the trade focuses on Brazilian soybeans/sugar and Indonesian palm oil/garments. Both nations aim to boost this figure by two to three times, targeting $18 billion within the next five to ten years to drive economic growth and job creation.source: https://industri.kontan.co.id/news/teken-mou-dengan-apex-brasil-kadin-targetkan-nilai-perdagangan-us-18-miliar (ICE GIACARTA)
