Kazakh economy up 16% since 2019 – TokayevKazakhstan’s economy has reached 137 trillion tenge ($291 billion) in 2025, up 16% from 2019, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said on Friday."The pandemic, the sanctions confrontation between world powers, the destruction of traditional trade routes, various conflicts and wars have caused enormous damage to the development of countries worldwide. While preserving the potential of the domestic economy, we continued its dynamic development," the president said at a ceremony marking Republic Day, which is celebrated on October 25.According to his data, GDP per capita has increased by 47%, reaching $14,400, which is one of the highest levels among CIS countries.The president also reported that Kazakhstan's gold and foreign exchange reserves have reached $58 billion, and foreign trade turnover over seven years has increased by 83%, amounting to $142 billion.
