During its session held on Wednesday, and chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, the Council of Ministers approved an agreement to supply natural gas from the Risha gas Field to the Kingdom’s electricity system. The agreement was signed between the National Petroleum Company, the Jordan Oil Terminals Logistics Company, the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), the Jordan Liquefied Gas Company (JLGC), the Samra Electric Power Generation Company (SEPCO), and the National Advanced Natural Gas Company. This agreement supports the goals of the National Energy Strategy, which seeks to enhance the role of domestic energy sources in the national energy mix and strengthen Jordan’s energy security.
