TRADE PACTS SIGNED AT 47TH ASEAN SUMMIT
TWO agreements signed during the ongoing 47th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur will facilitate Philippine access to markets in the region, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said on Sunday. The Asean-China Free Trade Area (ACFTA) 3.0 Upgrade and the Second Protocol to Amend the Asean Trade in Goods Agreement (Atiga) — signed by Trade Secretary Cristina Roque on Saturday — were said to “advance President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to expand exports, create jobs, enhance product quality, boost sustainable trade, and strengthen regional resilience.” Roque said the agreements would make regional commerce more responsive to the needs of Filipinos, particularly in times of need. https://www.manilatimes.net/2025/10/27/business/top-business/trade-pacts-signed-at-47th-asean-summit/2208664 (ICE SINGAPORE)
