The number of new cars registered in Lebanon by Association des Importateurs d' Automobiles au Liban (AIA) members has totaled 9,447 in the first nine months (9M) of 2025 which marks a 41.3% jump against the same period of the year prior. This comes amid a full reopening of the Vehicle Registration Office.  Looking at the performance in each quarter of the year, the evolution of total new car registrations in Q1-2025 against Q1-2024 recorded a year-on-year jump of 90.3%. In Q2-2025, registrations noted a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.4% against the same quarter of the year prior. In parallel, registrations grew considerably by 63.0% between Q3-2024 and Q3-2025. If the current trend continues for the rest of the year, total registrations in 2025 are set to reach 12,596, up by 53.1% from 8,226 registrations in 2024. (ICE BEIRUT)
