Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia has urged oil and gas contractors (KKKS), including Pertamina, to invest in building domestic methanol plants to support Indonesia's downstream sector. The country faces a significant deficit, requiring approximately 2.6 million tons of methanol annually while only producing 300,000-400,000 tons.
