Between 2020 and 2025, Việt Nam has achieved remarkable progress in advanced medical technology, mastering complex techniques such as multi-organ transplantation, foetal cardiac intervention, robotic surgery, artificial heart implantation, and stem cell therapy. These breakthroughs have elevated the country’s global medical reputation, with Vietnamese doctors now transferring expertise abroad and expanding modern techniques nationwide. Leading institutions like the Việt Nam–Germany Friendship Hospital, Chợ Rẫy Hospital, and Huế Central Hospital have pioneered life-saving transplants and innovations. A milestone was the nation’s first successful simultaneous heart–lung transplant, positioning Việt Nam among a select group of countries capable of such complex surgeries. In reproductive medicine, Việt Nam now hosts over 70 IVF centres, with several meeting international standards. The “Saigon Protocol,” developed by the IVF Mỹ Đức Centre, has gained global recognition for improving IVF success rates while reducing costs, pain, and treatment time. Overall, Việt Nam’s advances demonstrate strong innovation, expertise, and determination in modernising healthcare.
