Speaking in Lampung Utara on Wednesday, he highlighted the successful harvest of 60 tons of soybeans from a 30-hectare plot owned by the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) as a milestone in reducing reliance on imports. The initiative aims to transform Indonesia into a soybean-exporting country within two to three years, with the Armed Forces playing a central role in agricultural development. Sjamsoeddin outlined a coordinated approach involving all branches of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI): the Navy will lead soybean cultivation, the Army will focus on rice self-sufficiency, and the Air Force will provide land for broader food production.
