Exports of Polish agricultural and food products grew by 7.3 percent year on year between January and August 2025, reaching a value of EUR 37.7 billion, the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) reported on Tuesday.The value of imports in the same period amounted to EUR 25.4 billion, a 9.3-percent increase year-on-year, KOWR said.The trade surplus of EUR 12.3 billion was 3.5 percent higher than in the same period of 2024, KOWR added."The increase in the value of exports of agri-food products from Poland in the eight months of 2025 was the result of the predominance of upward price trends on the global food market and Poland maintaining a strong position in supply chains supported by the recovering consumer demand on the EU market," the KOWR report stated.On the other hand, the dynamic strengthening of the Polish zloty against the US dollar recorded in the first and second quarter of 2025 had a limiting effect on foreign food sales which resulted in a low year-on-year growth in exports to non-EU markets, it added.
