6.19% GROWTH IN INDONESIA'S E-RETAIL & MARKETPLACE TRANSACTIONS
Indonesia’s economy grew steadily in Q3 2025, with e-retail and marketplace transactions rising 6.19% quarter-to-quarter, driven by purchases of personal care, household goods, transport services, sports equipment, and fashion. The information and communication sector saw a robust 9.65% year-on-year growth, ranking fourth among the fastest-growing sectors, supported by increased telecommunication activity and digital trade. Household consumption rose 4.89% yoy, led by transport and communication (6.41%) and hotel and restaurant spending (6.32%), though growth slightly slowed compared to Q3 2024. Despite the deceleration, household consumption remained the backbone of Indonesia’s GDP, contributing 53.14% of total output and 2.54 percentage points to overall growth. The country’s GDP at constant prices reached IDR3,444.8 trillion (approx. US$210 billion), marking a 5.04% annual increase.
