The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, approved during a session on Wednesday the draft general budget law for the fiscal year 2026, paving the way for its submission to the National Assembly in accordance with constitutional procedures. The draft budget reflects an increase in capital expenditures to 1.6 billion dinars, compared to a revised estimate of 1.3 billion dinars, to finance key national development projects, including:396 million dinars for projects under the Economic Modernization Vision60 million dinars for the National Water Carrier Project35 million dinars for exploration activities in the Risha Gas Field210 million dinars to support municipal development, up from 180 million dinars (ICE AMMAN)
