Kazakhstan aims to more than double jet fuel output by 2033Kazakhstan plans to more than double its production of jet fuel to 1.7 million tonnes by 2033, according to the republic's Ministry of Energy."Large-scale projects are currently underway to increase domestic production of aviation fuel, with the target output of 1.7 million tonnes expected to be achieved between 2026 and 2032," the ministry stated.According to open-source data, Kazakhstan produced approximately 744,000 tonnes of jet fuel in 2024. The ministry also confirmed that a project to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel in partnership with the U.S. company LanzaJet is currently being implemented in the country.The ministry further assured that domestic oil refineries are prepared to swiftly transition to producing Jet A-1 grade aviation fuel.
