Kazakhstan increases poultry production by 7% in Jan-OctPoultry meat production in Kazakhstan grew by 7.2% in the first 10 months of 2025, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.It is specified that Kazakh poultry farms produced over 360,000 tonnes of poultry meat in January-October, which is 7.2% more than in the same period last year.According to the ministry, there are 43 egg-producing poultry farms, 36 meat-producing farms, and 7 breeding farms operating in the country. The total poultry population reached 49 million heads as of October 1, with a yearly increase of 6.5%.The Ministry of Agriculture clarified that over the past five years, Kazakhstan's self-sufficiency in poultry meat has increased from 58% to 79%."In the next three years, it is planned to launch 8 large enterprises with a production volume of 241,000 tonnes and investments of 167.9 billion tenge (over $352.5 million). As a result, by 2027 Kazakhstan will be able to fully meet the domestic market's demand for poultry meat (at 110%) and expand export supplies," the release states. (ICE ALMATY)
