Government forms portfolio of agricultural investment projects worth 4.3 trl tengeA pool of projects in Kazakhstan's agro-industrial complex with a total value of 4.3 trillion tenge has been formed as part of the implementation of the state Investment Order program for 2026, the government's press service reports.During a meeting on Tuesday at the government, Vice Minister of Agriculture Yermek Kenzhekhanuly informed that, based on an analysis of the production potential of the regions, an investment portfolio in the agro-industrial complex has been formed. It includes 202 projects totaling 4.3 trillion tenge. These include projects for the construction of dairy farms, development of meat livestock and poultry farming, processing of milk, meat, leather and wool, construction of greenhouses, processing of vegetables, fruits and potatoes, as well as development of the sugar industry and deep processing of grain.The Investment Order is a new state program aimed at supporting investment projects from small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) and large businesses for the production of goods in high demand among the population and with a high share of imports. The state identifies promising niches with high potential for producing goods for import substitution and export, while the regions identify specific projects and businesses capable of implementing them. The analysis of project effectiveness and their financing will be carried out through the tools and mechanisms of the Baiterek holding. (ICE ALMATY)
