Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, on Wednesday held a series of meetings at his office to follow up on developmental and service-related files concerning various Lebanese regions.  In the framework of ongoing transport sector reviews, Rasamny met with the technical committee on railway affairs, in the presence of Director General of Railways and Public Transport, Ziad Chaya, with whom he discussed the economic feasibility and strategic importance of reviving Lebanon’s railway network, particularly Beirut–Tripoli line, described as a key component for sustainable mobility and easing road congestion.  The minister also met with MP Ahmad Kheir, with whom he discussed development priorities and ways to accelerate service and infrastructure projects that enhance citizens’ daily living conditions and promote local development across the country.
