KMG, Uzbekneftegaz plan to create linear alkylbenzene production facilityJSC KazMunayGas (KMG) and Uzbekneftegaz have signed a framework agreement on implementing a project for producing linear alkylbenzene, KMG's press service said."The projected capacity of the petrochemical complex will be up to 50,000 tonnes of products per year. Linear alkylbenzene is the main base raw material for the production of synthetic detergents and household chemicals," it said.Implementing the project will meet the internal demand of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, reduce dependence on imports of raw materials for the chemical industry and stimulate the development of the processing sector and new production facilities in the household chemicals sector.The document was signed as part of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's state visit to Uzbekistan."The document solidified the parties' agreements on jointly studying the implementation of the investment project. The signed agreement will make it possible to start the design stage and conduct all necessary calculations," the press service said.The parties will make a final investment decision based on the results of the completed design work.
