IMF raises Kazakhstan GDP growth forecast, sees economy expanding over 6%The International Monetary Fund forecasts Kazakhstan's economy will grow by more than 6% this year, the head of the IMF mission to the country, Ali Al-Eyd, said Wednesday."We see very high economic growth rates in Kazakhstan. We forecast that real growth rates will exceed 6% in 2025," Al-Eyd said at a news conference in Astana.He added that Kazakhstan's GDP growth for 2026 is expected to be around 4.5%, driven by high oil production and strong domestic demand.The IMF expects inflation to remain around 13% until the end of this year and to moderate slightly to 11% by the end of 2026.The latest forecast represents an upgrade from the IMF's October projection of 5.9% growth for this year and 4.8% for 2026.
