Kazakhstan’s agricultural output up 5.4% in Jan–OctKazakhstan’s agricultural output grew by 5.4% in the first ten months of the year, reaching 8.1 trillion tenge, the presidential press service said.“The volume of agricultural production reached 8.1 trillion tenge, representing a 5.4% increase compared to last year,” the statement said on Wednesday following President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s meeting with Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov.Food production rose 9% in January–October 2025 to 3.1 trillion tenge, while agricultural exports during the period amounted to $4.7 billion.Saparov briefed the president on measures implemented over the past two years to improve the agro-industrial sector. These include the introduction of 5% direct loans to replenish working capital and preferential leasing programs for agricultural machinery. In line with the president’s instructions, total funding for the sector has been increased to 1 trillion tenge, with 250 billion tenge directed toward subsidized machinery leasing.More than 25,000 units of machinery were purchased in 2025, reducing the fleet’s depreciation rate from 90% to 70%, the press service said.
