A concession for the construction of a tourist port for mega-yachts on Corfu was ratified by the plenary of the Greek Parliament earlier this month.The signing parties include, on one side, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF-which was succeeded by Greece's Superfund) and the Corfu Port Authority, and on the other, Lamda Corfu Marina Single-Member Limited Liability Company for the Development and Utilization of Corfu Marina and Lamda Marinas Single-Member Public Limited Company for the Participation and Development of Tourist Ports. Included in the concession is the construction, operation, management, maintenance and exploitation of the mega-yacht marina. The value of the transaction comes in two parts - a one-time payment of 9.7 million euros, and a 7.7% payment on Lamda Marina's annual turnover. Its duration is 40 years. (ICE ATENE)
