INDONESIA ACCELERATES RENEWABLE ENERGY TRANSITION
Indonesia is committed to accelerating its Renewable Energy (RE)-based electricity ecosystem to achieve Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060 or sooner, as mandated by Government Regulation 40/2025. The goal is a 19-23% RE national energy mix by 2030. New power generation by 2034 will total 120 GW, with about 79% from RE. This transition relies on a Super Grid connecting major islands (Sumatra-Java by 2029, etc.) to ensure reliable supply and overcome location mismatches.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5255581/pemerintah-tekankan-pengembangan-ekosistem-kelistrikan-berbasis-ebt?page=2 (ICE GIACARTA)
