According to Statistics Poland (GUS) preliminary data on GDP growth in the third quarter it follows that the Polish economy grew by 3.7 percent y/y in real terms, compared to 3.3 percent in the second quarter. After adjusting for seasonal factors, the quarterly growth rate was 0.8 percent, the same as in the previous quarter and almost three times higher than the average for the EU as a whole (+0.3 percent q/q). Dawid Pachucki, Director of the Macroeconomic Analysis Office and Chief Economist at PZU, writes that the Polish economy has set a clear course for growth and is increasingly strengthening its position among the fastest-growing economies in the EU. The latest data confirm that after a period of slower growth in 2023, the domestic economy is regaining momentum and the outlook for the coming years looks promising. (ICE VARSAVIA)
