INDONESIA NEEDS USD 179 BILLION INVESTMENT TO FULLY SHIFT TO CLEAN ENERGY
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources estimated that Indonesia will require Rp 3,000 trillion (USD 179 billion) in investment to achieve a full transition to clean energy. On Wednesday (19/11), ministry officials said funds are needed for large-scale solar and wind deployment, grid upgrades, battery storage, and early coal-plant retirement. The ministry emphasised that securing concessional financing and strengthening regulatory certainty are critical, as domestic resources alone cannot meet the investment gap.Source: https://jakartaglobe.id/business/indonesia-needs-rp-3000-trillion-investment-to-fully-shift-to-clean-energy (ICE GIACARTA)
