Kazakhstan grain exports climb 15% year-on-yearKazakhstan exported 3.1 million tonтуs of grain from the new harvest between September and the end of November 2025, a 14.8% increase compared to the same period last year, the Ministry of Agriculture reported on Monday.Shipments to key regional markets have shown significant growth. Exports to Uzbekistan rose by 32% to 1.4 million tonnes, deliveries to Kyrgyzstan doubled to 90,000 tonnes, and supplies to Afghanistan increased by 28.8% to 179,000 tonnes.For the current agricultural year, from September 2025 to August 2026, the ministry plans to export 13 million tonnes of new-harvest grain, a target roughly in line with the previous season's shipments.The increase in exports follows a 2% rise in the national grain harvest this year, which reached 27 million tonnes with an average yield of 1.7 tonnes per hectare. In 2024, the harvest totaled 26.5 million tonnes with a yield of 1.6 tonnes per hectare. (ICE ALMATY)
