INDONESIA'S MANUFACTURING PMI HITS 53.3, HIGHEST SINCE FEBRUARY, DRIVEN BY Domestic Demand
Indonesian Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, highlighted that the S&P Global Manufacturing Purchasing Manager's Index (PMI) hit 53.3 in November 2025, the highest since February, signifying a strengthening national industry. This expansion was driven by a surge in domestic new orders, reaching a 27-month peak, despite shrinking foreign demand. The increased demand prompted manufacturers to boost production, enlarge stock, and slightly increase hiring, leading to the largest accumulation of work in over four years. The Minister stressed that domestic demand remains the anchor for growth, and the government prioritizes strengthening industry foundations through efficiency, supply chain integration, and skilled labor development.Source: https://www.antaranews.com/berita/5280389/pmi-manufaktur-capai-angka-tertinggi-bukti-industri-ri-semakin-kuat (ICE GIACARTA)
