THE Philippines and Canada have deepened their trade ties, following a recent meeting in Manila between Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. and Canadian Secretary of State for International Development Randeep Sarai. Canada committed to support the Philippines in cacao and coffee development; climate-resilient agriculture; monitoring illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing; and regulatory capacity building.
