GCPI REVENUES EXCEED $810M BY END-OCTOBER

The General Company for Ports of Iraq (GCPI) has announced that its total revenues, including those from affiliated ports and facilities, reached IQD 1,063,291,000,000 (approximately $810 million) by the end of October 2025, reflecting improved operational performance and rising efficiency across its activities.Director General Dr Farhan Al-Fartousi said the results were achieved thanks to continuous support from Transport Minister Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi and the implementation of a package of development measures, including modernising maritime traffic management systems, strengthening financial and administrative collection mechanisms, and tightening operational procedures to ensure higher efficiency and service quality.He added that the revenue growth reflects improved performance at commercial and oil ports, particularly in maritime services, berth management, cargo handling, loading and unloading operations, and port fee collection.The company reiterated its commitment to continuing development programmes aimed at upgrading port infrastructure and enhancing fleet capabilities and support services, in order to strengthen Iraq's position on the regional and international maritime transport map and support sustainable national economic growth.
